A unique mixed media low relief acrylic painting by known Georgia artist Carolyn Cordell depicting a beautiful mermaid with a clear marble head. Cordell is known for her “metal paintings” created from layers of gel medium, acrylic and metallic paints on paper, canvas or wood to achieve a tooled or soldered metal effect. Framed in a gilt matching wood frame with curved paper mat. The wording on the mat is: "Find joy in simplicity, take heart, seize the day, be open to mystery, and believe in the many miracles around." Measures 14.75" x 11.75" x 1" deep. In excellent pre-loved condition with minor signs of wear.
