Striking vintage screw back earrings featuring round faceted stones in a vibrant purple hue with subtle pink undertones. Although the stones have brilliant sparkle, they are not glass — their lightweight feel and warmth to the touch suggest lucite or another early plastic.
Each stone is set in a silver tone, likely pot metal, collar with four short, squared prongs — an uncommon and distinctive setting style typical of 1940s wartime and early post-war jewelry. The open-back design allows light to pass through, enhancing the color and sparkle.
These petite earrings measure approximately 3/4" long and 1/2" wide.
