Butler’s Lives of the Saints Complete Edition 4 vol - Thurston & Attwater (1980)

Revised “Complete Edition” four volume hardcover set of Butler’s Lives of the Saints edited, revised and supplemented by Herbert Thurston & Donald Attwater (Christian Classics Inc., 1980). Complete in four volumes, expansive Christian religious reference text, collecting the stories and lives of patron saints and more modern-day saints as well.

Handsome set with gilt lettering and design to leatherbound boards. Mild to moderate wear to covers, mostly around edges. Corners bumped and with some tears/splits in leather binding along spine mostly to volume 4. A few instances of mildly split binding though spines are straight and bindings remain strong on the whole. Some faint soiling to outer edges of text block. A few pages torn with crude tape repair in volume 1. Otherwise pages are clean and unmarked. See photos for condition.
